Bruleed Key Lime Tarts with Luxury Chocolate Recipe

Directions

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, place the 10 Reduced Fat Oreo cookies into a food processor and finely grind. Slowly add the melted Promise spread to the Oreo's in the food processor. Lightly grease four 4 ½ - inch fluted tartlet pans. Make sure the pans have removable bottoms and then press the Oreo mixture into the bottom. Now, place the tartlet pans on a cookie sheet and back for 8 minutes or until the edges look dry. Let cool while preparing the filling.

Second, in a large bowl, whisk the Eggland's Best egg yolks with Borden's fat-free sweetened condensed milk, lime zest, and 1/3 cup key lime juice. Next, pour the mixture into the previously prepared tart pans and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. After baking, let the tarts cool for 30 minutes and then freeze for 2 hours.

Third, in a small saucepan mix 2 tablespoons of Splenda with 3 tablespoons of water and add kosher salt. Cook the mixture in the saucepan until the Splenda has dissolved. Let the mixture cool and then stir in the remaining 1/3 cup lime juice. Place the sauce in the refrigerator.

Finally, lightly sprinkle 2 teaspoons of Splenda over each of the 4 tart pans, then caramelize the top with a blow torch. Unmold the tarts into the service piece of choice and then pour the Key lime sauce on the tarts.

Serve with: pieces of luxury dark chocolate.
